I’ve been meaning to update my first tutorial for a while now since I feel I’ve learned a lot since then. In this tutorial I will cover what I covered in the first along with where to find HQ Logoless downloads, how to convert .mkv files, sharpening, tips to reduce the size of your gif, and whatever else pops into my head along the way.

@anon: I wasn’t exactly sure what you wanted so: If you want the .psd for that one, it’s here (tory/veronica). If you’d like me to make more .psds, I’m more than happy to. It’s better you tell me which .psds you’d like, and I’ll see if I saved them. If you’d like me to make more You Again .gifs, I’ll put it on my already too long to-do list. Or did you want me to make more .gifs with similar type of coloring?
@barlice: Meeeeechelle. I have watched the 1st season and a couple of the 2nd season, but that was years ago. I want to pick it up again, but I have to start all over cause it’s all kinds of fuzzy. So many shows, too little time.
@anon: Sorry for the wait! I wanted to provide an example, as I didn’t make the one you linked. First download one of these many vintage textures. I used the one in this pack.
- Get an image, resize it if needed, and place it at the top.
- Create a new layer, select a big round brush and fill the bottom.
- Add your color adjustment layers
- Paste the vintage texture, set it to screen and lower the opacity, I set mine to 15%.
- You can stop there, but I added a gradient fill black to clear.
- After that, add your text and whatever else you like.
- Here’s the .psd, if you need it.
- If anyone wants to finish it, go for it. I got stuck.

This is pretty extensive so to successfully complete this tutorial you’ll need prior knowledge on how to make a simple gif first. If you need to know how to do that, I’ve made a tutorial HERE and there are others out there that’ll give you the basics on how to make a gif. Also check out penhall’s multi-gif tutorial HERE, that helped me too.
